World class downhill course

The Big Induna is not only a race but a Mountain Bike Lifestyle Celebration!

On 16 June more than 1500 mountain bikers will be confronted with the grueling mountains of the Sabie Valley surrounding Induna Adventures – and in return get the chance to spend time on endless single tracks through indigenous forests and crossing small rivers.

The starting venue of this event – which is also the SA championships for cross country mountain biking – is edged off by a big mountain ideal for Downhill racing.  With the help of expert downhill racers,  Tarek and Justin Victor, we have built a world class Downhill course.

The course is fast and smooth with a lot of variety.  It is so much fun that we want everybody to try it.  Chicken runs around the difficult sections make it possible to do it even on a hard tail!

On Saturday 16 June there will be practice runs throughout the day.  A shuttle will take riders to the top of the hill, takes about 15 minutes, and then the fast guys will do the descent in about 4 minutes. On Sunday 17 June the competition will take place.
