The Big Induna MTB Classic

Dear Jaco

Following on from my chat with you after the race yesterday, I would like to reiterate my appreciation for your organisation of a fantastic 'Induna Classic'. It was great!

We were blessed with a beautiful day; perfect weather to appreciate our wonderful environment. I often feel we take our climate and natural environs for granted.

The course was superb and I really enjoyed the manner in which the route offered so much variety in scenery and technical challenge. I took pleasure in the changes of vegetation and really enjoyed being near water occasionally, even to the extent of having to riding in the river for a period. My compulsory stop to view the elephants on the other side of the fence was a winner!

I realise that you may well have been supported by a wonderful team, but also realise that the local community, especially the farmers, had to give their consent for the event, as we used much of their land. To both groups, may I also express my appreciation and thanks for their essential involvement?

All in all, it was a day to remember. A wonderful race; well organised in a breathtaking environment.
