Abseiling

 An activity for the thrill seeker!
Face your fears and step over the edge into oblivion… Abseiling is commonly practiced the world over as a method of descending a rope in a safe and controlled manner. Our abseil experience takes place at Makuhlu, a 27m high granite rock face overlooking the Kruger Park. This towering boulder is the ideal abseil venue, with an easy hike up the back of the cliff and a vertical drop at the front. Great rock formations and breathtaking views ads spice to this adrenalin packed experience. Cold beverages included

Anybody who can fit into a rock climbing harness can do abseiling.  You don't need strength to hold your weight - the guide will show you an easy technique that aquires very little strength.  The guide also has controll over your descent to make sure you are safe.

  • Apply enough sunscreen an hour before the trip.
  • Wear closed shoes as there is a short hike to the to of the rock.
  • Wear a cap, you can also wear it underneath your helmet.
